BLEEEPS / Product filmFilm shows 7.1 · new 7.3 film coming soon

01 / Built for the session

From picture to final take.

Everything an ADR session needs, inside REAPER: cues, beeps, overlay, takes, mix and delivery – for single voices and groups.

01 — PREPARE

Lines from the picture.

No cue list? Speech recognition (Whisper) finds the lines in the video or ISO tracks – offline, on your Mac.

02 — IMPORT

Any cue list.

CSV, Excel, TSV, TXT, SRT, VTT and EDL markers. Columns are detected, and lines can be translated offline on import.

03 — RECORD

Pre-roll. Beeps. Take.

Pick a cue, press START ADR. The actor hears three beeps and sees the line and countdown over the picture.

04 — TAKES

Every pass in its place.

Each take lands exactly on its cue. Circle the best, keep an alt, edit or comp. False starts are removed automatically.

05 — MONITOR

Hear what you choose.

Switch between guide, REC and takes. Monitor original, dialog or M&E – or split your own M&E from the mix.

06 — GROUP

Record together.

Group recording guides overlapping dialogue for up to four speakers in one pass.

07 — MINI

Small window, full control.

MINI shrinks BLEEEPS to a transport bar. Open the cue list underneath and jump to any line with one click.

08 — ADR MIX

Mix the performance.

A separate mix session with picture, M&E, music and SFX. Choose takes, place SPOT markers, export the mix.

09 — DELIVER

Circle. Export. Done.

Broadcast WAV with timecode and iXML, MP3 and ZIP. Plus ADR report and cue lists for the next room.

10 — EXPORT

One export window.

WAV, MP3 or both. Peak or LUFS normalize, fades, ZIP. Sorted into folders, then shown in Finder.

11 — STEMS

Wet, dry or with sends.

Dialog, full mix, M&E and stems per actor – as heard, channel only or dry. Bypass all cue FX with one click.

12 — VERSIONS

Many versions, one project.

Episodes, trailers and language versions – each with its own picture, timecode and cues. Show the lines in the language you need.

02 / Setup

Getting started.

The installer does the work: BLEEEPS, the REAPER extensions and – if you want – speech recognition, overlay and translation.

You need: a Mac with macOS 13 or newer (Apple Silicon recommended) · REAPER 7 or newer, started once · internet for setup and the first activation · for COMPLETE: Homebrew, an admin account and a few GB of disk space.

  1. Get the beta with the button below. You receive the download and your license key (valid 2 months) by e-mail.
  2. Quit REAPER, unzip and double-click BLEEEPS Setup.app. macOS asks once – click Open.
  3. Click CHECK, then CORE (record only) or COMPLETE (recommended, with speech recognition, overlay and translation – 5–20 min).
  4. REAPER starts by itself and opens BLEEEPS. Enter your key and click Activate. One key works on 2 Macs.
  5. Stuck? The manual is in the download and online.

03 / Beta

BLEEEPS 7.3 Beta for Mac.

An early version, tested in real sessions but still a beta. You get the signed installer, the manual in 7 languages, an example cue list and a beta license key for 2 computers, valid for 2 months. Please work on a copy of your project, not the original.

04 / Good to know

What this beta does not do (yet).

  • Mac only. macOS 13 or newer. A Windows version comes later.
  • REAPER only. BLEEEPS does not run inside Pro Tools or Nuendo – but the exported Broadcast WAVs with timecode go into any DAW.
  • No AAF / OMF. Delivery is Broadcast WAV with timecode, MP3, mixes and stems.
  • Speech recognition is a draft. Check texts and cue borders. Speakers in a mixed video are not told apart – you assign the lines yourself.
  • Intel Macs are slow at speech recognition. Apple Silicon is strongly recommended.
  • Without COMPLETE there is no speech recognition, no overlay and no automatic frame-rate detection.
  • Translation is offline machine translation – a starting point, not a final script.
  • SRT, VTT and EDL have no role column. After import the role is the actor name. Excel, CSV and TSV keep the role.
  • A cut EDL is not a cue list. Only EDLs with markers can be imported.
  • Group recording: the overlay shows up to 4 speakers at the same time.
  • Takes follow a moved cue only while a BLEEEPS window is open. Keep MINI open while you edit.
  • Mix session: no line overlay on the mix video yet, and changes in the mix never go back to the ADR session.
  • Conform to a new cut is experimental and switched off by default. Check every result.
  • Beta license: one key for 2 computers, valid for 2 months from download. The first activation needs internet, after that it also works offline.
